How we count
- Country is the home country of the launch company, not the launch site. For example, Rocket Lab's Electron launches from New Zealand count for the USA, and Arianespace launches from French Guiana count for France.
- We count orbital launches only. Suborbital flights are left out.
- A launch is a success when the launch data records it as one. Failures and partial failures count as attempts, not successes.
- The year is counted in UTC: a launch counts for 2026 if it lifted off on or after 1 January 2026, 00:00 UTC.
- These counts come from the same launch data as our 2026 scoreboard, and are fixed when the site is rebuilt. The Updated line shows when the launch data was fetched.
