How we count
- The headline tally counts successful orbital launches only: launches that Launch Library 2 marks as a success.
- Failures and partial failures are listed separately and are not counted as successes. Both count as attempts.
- Suborbital flights are not counted. Launch Library 2 lists Starship Flights 12 and 13 as suborbital, so they are left out; Flight 14 reached orbit and counts.
- Country is the home country of the launch company, not the launch site. For example, Rocket Lab's Electron launches from New Zealand count for the USA.
- The year is counted in UTC: a launch counts for 2026 if it lifted off on or after 1 January 2026, 00:00 UTC. Dates in the lists below are the launch-site local date, so a launch just after midnight UTC on New Year's Day may show 31 December.
- This page refreshes itself from Launch Library 2 every few hours, so the counts can change while you read it.
