The Sea God Surveys is a Rocket Lab Electron launch that will carry one radar-imaging satellite for the Japanese company iQPS into orbit. The launch site is Launch Complex 1 on the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand. The box above shows the launch time in New Zealand time and in your own local time. The box checks for changes every 10 minutes while the page is open.

When is The Sea God Surveys launch?
Rocket Lab's mission page lists the launch date as NET 4 November 2026 and the launch time as TBD, which means to be decided. iQPS gave the same date in its 13 October announcement: no earlier than 4 November 2026. Neither company has said what time of day it will lift off, so this page does not give one.
Neither page says which time zone the 4 November date is in. New Zealand clocks are 13 hours ahead of UTC (world time) in November, so one moment can fall on different dates in the two places. Our box may show a date that is a day different from Rocket Lab's. When Rocket Lab sets a time, go by Rocket Lab.
Launch dates and times often move, even late. Check Rocket Lab's mission page for changes.
What is being launched?
Rocket Lab calls this its 10th Electron launch for iQPS. Some launch trackers number it iQPS Launch 9. The satellite is QPS-SAR-20, named "WADATSUMI-II". It is a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite, a kind of satellite that images the ground with radio waves and can see through cloud and at night.
iQPS says the target orbit is a mid-inclined orbit at 575 km altitude. It says it aims to build a constellation of 24 satellites by May 2028.
How can I watch it online?
Rocket Lab's mission page has a "Watch live" button. The page says the live stream starts about 30 minutes before launch. When a webcast is listed, a link appears in the box above.
