Our launch feed has it no earlier than November 2026, with no day or time. That is an estimate, not a date from SpaceX or the NRO. What did an earlier NRO launch from Vandenberg look like?

The NRO's NROL-179 mission launched on a Falcon 9 from Space Launch Complex 4E on Friday 19 June 2026 at 1:50 a.m. Pacific Time, says SpaceX. The first-stage booster landed back at Vandenberg, on Landing Zone 4. SpaceX said people in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties might hear sonic booms.

On its NROL-179 page the NRO describes a strategy of "a proliferated overhead architecture", meaning numerous, smaller satellites. It has not said what NROL-195 will carry, so this page does not either. We do not know yet whether NROL-195 will land its booster at Vandenberg or at sea.
