As of 26 October 2026, there is no official date for the next Starship launch, Flight 15. SpaceX has not announced one. On SpaceX's third-quarter earnings webcast on 20 October, Elon said Flight 15 is expected "next month", which means November. The date in the box above is an estimate, not a SpaceX announcement.

Is Flight 15 close to launch?
The booster is further along than the ship. On 25 October, Booster 22 fired all 33 of its engines for a full-duration static fire, SpaceX said on X. A static fire is an engine test on the ground. Ship 42, the upper stage, was heading to SpaceX's Massey's test site on 26 October, NSF reported. In our view, that means the ship's own tests are still ahead.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which licenses US launches, must also approve the flight. Its Starship page does not mention Flight 15 yet.
What will Flight 15 try to do?
SpaceX plans to try to catch both the Super Heavy booster and the ship with the launch tower. No one has caught an orbital rocket's upper stage before. Our Flight 15 explainer covers the plan and the hardware.
How did the last Starship flight go?
Flight 14, on 28 September 2026, was the first Starship flight to reach orbit. Read about every flight in Every Starship flight so far.
