As of 26 October 2026, the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO's) next launch is GSLV-F18 with the NVS-03 navigation satellite. It is set for 11:51 PM India Standard Time (IST) on Friday 30 October 2026, from Sriharikota. That time comes from the booking page of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR), ISRO's launch centre. The box above moves on to the next ISRO launch by itself once this one has flown.
What is GSLV-F18 carrying?
NVS-03, a satellite for Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC), India's own satellite navigation system. We explain what NVS-03 is and why NavIC needs it. The rocket is the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mk II. For the launch time, the webcast and updates, see our GSLV-F18 launch time page.
What comes after GSLV-F18?
ISRO has not announced a date for any launch after GSLV-F18. Two missions are next in line in public launch lists:
- Gaganyaan G1. This is the first uncrewed test flight of Gaganyaan, India's human spaceflight programme. On 16 October, ISRO said G1 is targeted for launch in 2026. On 24 October, ISRO chairman V Narayanan said it would fly in about two months from Sriharikota, on the human-rated LVM3 rocket (HLVM3), UNI reported. It will carry Vyommitra, a half-humanoid robot.
- PSLV-C63 with TDS-01. TDS-01 is a Technology Demonstration Satellite. It will test new technology, including a high-thrust electric propulsion system and an Indian-made travelling wave tube (TWT) amplifier. In December 2025, the Department of Space listed it among missions planned by March 2026. ISRO's list of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) launches does not include it yet, so it has not flown.
Some launch lists show both for November 2026. ISRO has not said so, so treat those dates as placeholders.
How firm are ISRO launch dates?
Not very, until close to launch. Our advice, which is our own judgement: treat an ISRO date as firm once ISRO or SDSC SHAR posts it. In our experience, that happens in the last few days before a launch. Before that, dates come from officials' remarks and news reports, and they often slip.
Where do ISRO rockets launch from?
ISRO's rockets launch from Sriharikota, an island on India's east coast. Read our Sriharikota launch site guide. For launches from every site, including Sriharikota, see our launch tracker. To check a given day, see Is there a launch from Sriharikota today?
Can I watch an ISRO launch in person?
Yes, from the free Launch View Gallery at Sriharikota, if you register in time. Our Launch View Gallery guide explains how.
