The box above answers for today's date in India Standard Time (IST). It checks for changes every 10 minutes while the page is open. It also shows the next launch from Sriharikota, with its time in IST, and the two after it.
How do we decide what counts as "today"?
These are our own rules:
- Yes means a launch from Sriharikota is set for today's date in IST, with a set time.
- Possibly means a launch is listed for today but has no set time yet.
- No means nothing is listed for today. We then name the next launch.
Launch times can slip by minutes, hours or days, sometimes on the day itself. Check again close to launch.
Where do the times come from?
When ISRO has announced a time, the box shows it and says so. The source is usually the booking page of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR), ISRO's launch centre. For example, its Launch View Gallery page lists GSLV-F18 for 11:51 PM on Friday 30 October 2026. Any other time is an estimate, and the box marks it "Not confirmed by ISRO".
Which rockets launch from Sriharikota?
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has two launch pads there. The Cabinet's 2025 decision on a third pad describes them:
- First Launch Pad: for the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV).
- Second Launch Pad: mainly for the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) and the Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM3).
A third launch pad is being built. More in our Sriharikota launch site guide.
Can I watch a launch from Sriharikota?
Yes. ISRO built a Launch View Gallery with seats for 5,000 people and a clear view of both pads. Entry is free, but you have to register for each launch. See our Launch View Gallery guide for how to register.
What about launches after today?
See ISRO's next launch for what's coming, the GSLV-F18 launch time page for the next one, and our launch tracker for launches from everywhere.
